We have been serving the Fairfax County community for over 60 years. With our recent community expansion into Loudoun, Prince William, Stafford, Fauquier, Culpeper, and Spotsylvania counties, and the cities of Fairfax, Falls Church, Manassas, Manassas Park and Fredericksburg, we concluded that changing our name would make us more inclusive to those residing in our new footprint. Furthermore, our new name promotes our independence and helps us stand out from local county affiliated businesses.
After months of extensive research, member and non-member interviews and focus groups, our Board of Directors and executive team selected NextMark Federal Credit Union. Purposefully, our new name demonstrates empowerment and directional growth for both our current and potential members, and our organization as a whole. No. The credit union is still managed by the same executive team and Board of Directors, and is still owned by you, our loyal members.
Right now. As of December 2, our name is NextMark Federal Credit Union. Over the next few months, you will see us transition from FCFCU to NextMark. The first change you’ll see is our website, online banking platforms, member communication, and marketing. We anticipate completing the transition by the middle of next year.
Yes. We are currently researching possible new branch locations that will be determined based on current and prospective member penetration and propensity of use. We will be remodeling our all current branches based on our new brand guidelines.
Yes. As of December 2, our new web address will be www.NextMarkCU.org.
No. Your member number, account numbers, and PINs remain the same. Our routing number remains the same.
No. Your username and password remain the same.
Yes. You may use your existing checks until your supply runs out. When it’s time to order more checks, please contact us and we will send you your newly branded checks. New debit and credit cards will be issued gradually until all our members’ cards have been replaced with new ones.
No. Your transactions will continue without interruption. However, we do recommend you let them know just in case they need to update their systems with our new name.
No. As your account information is not changing, there will be no need to notify your payees.
Yes. Email addresses will be updated accordingly. All contact information for the credit union will be updated on the new website.
The only difference will be replacing the name “Fairfax County FCU” with “NextMark.”
Absolutely! The decision to change our name wasn’t a result of poor performance. It was quite the opposite, actually. We are stronger and safer than ever.
The new name won’t change our focus. NextMark is the future of FCFCU. The commitment to our members will remain, but our name is being updated to reflect the service and performance goals we strive to achieve.
Shared branching will be unaffected by the change. All you have to do is remember to ask for NextMark instead of Fairfax County FCU.
The transition to NextMark won’t cost you anything. We’re excited to share our new and improved brand with you for free!
It shouldn’t affect them at all. Most budgeting apps will pick up on the name change, but if they don’t you can reach out to us for assistance.

If you have a NextMark checking account, you can start using it immediately. Just log into online banking, click “Bill Payment” on the left-hand side, and we will guide you the rest of the way.
Online Bill Pay is a service that makes it simple and convenient to pay your monthly bills. All you have to do is verify that the amount you have been billed is correct, and then schedule the payment via your personal computer and we do the rest!
Convenience, convenience and convenience. Bill pay features allow you to schedule recurring payments, pay anyone anytime, end the taste of glue on those payment envelopes, cut down on trips to the post office and more!
Once you have logged on, you simply enter the amount to be paid as well as the due date of the bill. The bill pay service lets you schedule recurring payments such as mortgage and car payments, review payment history and maintain a payee database. Adding a new payee is simple, and payments to new payees can begin immediately.
We request that bill pay users schedule bills for payment no less than 5 business days prior to the bills due date. The payment will be sent immediately to ensure it is received on time.
Your NextMark checking account is the course for online bill payments.
Online Bill Pay is FREE to members with a NextMark checking account regardless of how many bills you pay.

Log into your NextMark CU Credit Card home page and click on the “Credit Card Alerts” banner. You will then be taken through the steps to set up your alerts, including where you would like to receive the alerts (mobile phone or email) and what type of alerts you would like to set up. You can also view a history of your transaction alerts from the site.

Your NextMark Visa® Gift Card is a prepaid card with a specific dollar value. Your Visa® Gift Card and its value are accepted at most places Visa debit is accepted.
Gift cards can be activated over the phone (with the number on the back of the card), or online at:
Call the number on the back of your card for balances and transaction history.
You can use your NextMark Visa® Gift Card at most places Visa Debit is accepted. See Terms and Conditions for further information.
You should always press the Credit button. Although the Visa Gift Card is not a credit card, the transaction is processed like one.
A PIN is not issued with the gift card. If a PIN is requested, simply press Cancel on the terminal, then select Credit to complete your transaction.
If the purchase amount exceeds the available card balance, then you must inform the merchant of the amount you want to pay with the gift card and that you will pay the difference in cash, check, credit or debit card. If the purchase amount exceeds the available balance of the gift card, the transaction will not be approved.
In the event you need to return an item you purchased with your gift card, the merchant will handle the item in accordance with Visa guidelines. The merchant may credit your card, thereby increasing your available funds.
When you have depleted all the funds on the card and no returns are necessary, simply destroy and discard the card.
